Date: Tuesday 10th February 2026
SPhotonix, the deep-tech start up, has signed optical device fabrication deals with the University of South Florida, Exxon Mobile and the University of Vilnius. The new projects focus on microscope calibration for DIC microscopy and imaging to further develop systems use for clinical diagnostics and histological imaging. The three deals mark the first step towards potential full use of SPhotonix femotetch(™) technology.
Commenting on the project, SPhotonix CEO, Ilya Kazansky said:
“These first deals for test targets are just the tip of the iceberg in terms of our optical device fabrication capabilities. Each test target project has now been completed, significantly helping our clients with their work and R&D progression. All have performed at our high and expected level. The opportunities for use in the global optical device markets are broad and deep, and the interaction we will have with researchers at South Florida, Exxon Mobile and Vilnius University have been invaluable as well as insightful as we continue to grow.”
SPhotonix has a growing range of advanced optics products ready to be deployed into industrial markets such as pharmaceuticals, defence, space, laser-driven fusion and academia.
